Erykah Badu Live is one of the great bass albums in my opinion. Hubert Eaves IV plays a MusicMan StingRay 5 that's extremely upfront in the mix giving you a fantastic listening experience. Huge groove, tasty tone, tight timing, beautiful note choice; he displays the lot in abundance. All Night is a wonderful bass line from the album. It's a pretty easy bass line to play which also leaves lots of room for the groove to breath.
Here's how to play it.
Download the drumbeat backing track here. Alternatively, set your metronome to 87.5BPM and get your groove on!
Here's some of the concert. Check out the cool StingRay!
I really recommend listening to the entire album. Try and figure out as many lines by ear as you can and emulate as many if Hubert's fills and embellishments as you can.
