Learn 100s of songs EASILY!

This is one of those bass lessons where I tried to keep it to one thing but it morphed into something more important!

This bass tutorial will show you how loads of different bass riffs actually contain the very same notes. Those notes are intervals which make up scales and chords and triads and arpeggios.

I'll show you all that in the video below.

Scroll down for the original songs but I chose some in a major and some in a minor key. Then I started all of them on G.

Doing that shows you that all the intervals are the same!

That makes learning and memorising bass lines much easier. The added bonus is that it also improves your ability to improvise cool bass lines, fills, and solos on the spot.

Amazing Bass Riffs

Here are all the original songs I use in the lesson. Note that not all of them are in the key of G Major or G Minor. As I show you in the video lesson though, it's very easy on a bass to transpose to different keys.

This lesson will teach you that skill if you're interested:

Yertle The Turtle - Red Hot Chili Peppers

Smoke On The Water - Deep Purple

Le Freak - Chic

Travelling Without Moving - Jamiroquai

Collision - Faith No More

Hey Ya! - Outkast

Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison

Mr. Brightside - The Killers

ABC - Jackson 5

I Want You Back - Jackson 5

Lovely Day - Bill Withers

Learning bass lines is fun as well as educational. Try to learn as many as you can and then figure out why the bass line works so well. Becoming a musical detective in this way will improve your all round musicianship.
