A French student of mine was hungry for more funk rhythms and came up with this idea. He wanted some essential funk bass rhythms to mix and match and so this lesson was born,
The focus is on rhythm and groove. You apply different notes to these rhythmic patterns and create a bunch of funky bass lines.

10 Epic Funk Bass Rhythms
Take each groove one by one and focus on nailing the timing. Use the accompanying drum loop or set a metronome - 85BPM works well.
Relax and pay attention to your timing. Then mix and match the rhythms!
You can even play around with using different notes and scales (my theory course will show you all the scales you need and how to use them). These example are in E minor and one of them uses the E Dorian mode which is a classic choice for funk (Good Times uses it).

As usual, a great lesson that makes you want to explore the funk style and bass technique further.
This 10 rhythmic patterns are a good entry point to your Funk Bass Course which is the best course a bass player can find today in order to learn playing Funk
