This is the last in my mini-series of nine beginner basslines. Smoke On The Water is arguably the most recognisable riff of all time; partly due to the popularity of Jack Black's School Of Rock. The riff uses blues and minor pentatonic scales and I'll show you how it applies to this line. Then you can use that idea to work on your ear (I show you that in the video) and to make your own basslines up.
