Best Ever Funk Bassline! Glide Tutorial TAB & Notation

This video lesson contains one piece of advice that you can use for any bassline you find really difficult. Apart from that little gem, I take you step by step through one of the coolest funk slap lines ever written.

Glide was recorded in 1979 on Pleasure's Future Now album. I first heard it being played by Victor Wooten on his Live In America album (at 2 minutes 12 seconds on Pretty Little Lady).

There are some tricky slap lines in this song so it's best to follow the TAB along with the video (and original) to really make sure you nail it. I tried to get this transcription as close to the original as I could and I think I got pretty close...
