The BEST Way To Practice Scales (Pino Palladino Bass Exercise)

This bass tutorial takes All Time Low (Nine Inch Nails) as inspiration. Pino Palladino is on bass and he dominates the song, displaying incredible taste, chops, timing, and beautiful note choice.

He uses scales throughout  - indeed all bass lines are made up from them.

In this lesson you will learn:

  • Some scales and modes
  • How to memorise and practise them
  • How to make up fills
  • A cool bass groove
  • How to get your timing and feel together

Scroll down for the original video with Pino (from Kimmel live) and the PDF and free backing track.

Play along to that track everyday and you'll get this together in no time!
