This video is a step by step walkthrough of a bass line using hammer ons, pull offs, sixteenth note triplets and a plectrum. The key to playing this fast is to take small sections of the line and slow it right down. Make sure you have the mechanics down before slowly building up the speed.
You can use your 4th finger (fretting hand) instead of the 3rd if you find it easier.
