Dexterity Bass Guitar Exercise

In this bass exercise, you work your way across the neck using triad pairs.

These are two adjacent triads from a scale which are often used in jazz improvisation. The exercise moves through different inversions of the triad.

An inversion is where you play a triad (the first, third, and fifth notes of a scale) starting on the third (first inversion) or fifth (second inversion).

Refer to the PDF to see the inversions of the C and D triads used in the exercise.
