This is a sample lesson from my new course, Your First 50 Bass Lines.
In the lesson, I'll show you two really simple but powerful bass patterns you can use over a major and minor chord.
The bass line is a nod to Tina Weymouth's iconic Psycho Killer part. It shows how simplicity is often the key to creating memorable bass lines.

Your First 50 Bass Lines
In Your First 50 Bass Lines, I take you through a collection of grooves that build the core vocabulary every bass player needs. Each line is short, musical, and built around real-world ideas you’ll hear in rock, blues, funk, and pop. The goal isn’t just to memorise 50 lines — it’s to understand the shapes, rhythms, and note choices that make bass lines work, so you can start recognising those patterns when you listen to music or when you’re creating your own parts.
As you work through the lines, you’ll naturally improve things like timing, fretboard knowledge, and the ability to lock into a groove. You’ll also start to see how simple ideas repeat in different keys and styles, which is one of the big breakthroughs for most bass players. Once those patterns become familiar, it becomes much easier to come up with your own bass lines, play along with songs, or step into a jam and know what to do.
You get TAB/notation, fifty pro-sounding backing tracks, and fifty discrete lessons where I teach and break down the line. It's a one-time payment, you own the course for life, and can take it at your own pace.
