Slow 12/8 Soul, Blues Bass (TIPS To Improvise With Patterns/Chord Tones/Scales/Rhythms)

I'm currently writing a soul/RnB/Motown book and I've completely blown away be revisiting the countless incredible players that were around in the 1960s onwards.

It inspired me to create this 12/8 soul, blues lesson!

Soul Blues Patterns

Patterns are a bass player's best friend. I talk and write a lot about learning the sound and shape of various intervals, scales, and arpeggios.

These are the bread and butter constituents of bass lines, fills and solos. If you learn them inside out (there aren't that many) you'll be well on your way to bass mastery.

Here's another good lesson with a PDF full of useful shapes.

9 Rhythm and Blues/Soul Bass Patterns

Learn the patterns inside out then use the backing track to play in time, with confidence, taste, and bags of feel!

Have fun.
