Whilst writing this week's lesson, I came up with a two string scale exercise that I just had to turn into a piece of music.
That exercise comprises the melodic hook you'll hear in the video lesson and see in the PDF (scroll down to download that).
The hook quickly inspired me to create a chord part and a bass line, to then loop those, and then play a solo over it.
You'll learn all three parts plus how to solo over it.

Bass Looping
You can approach this lesson a couple of ways.
If you're new to looping, you can watch the lesson below or simply focus on one part at a time.
If you can record each part into your recording software, or play the them into a looper pedal, go for that. It's so much fun and makes practice more creative.
Here's a lesson to help you with your bass looping:
Bass Solo
Once you've recorded the parts in, it's time to solo. The piece is in the key of A minor so A Natural Minor, A Minor Pentatonic, and A Minor Blues scales are the ones you need.
My Music Theory For Bass Players course teaches you how to solo and provides all the scales shapes across the neck that you need to know (plus a load more useful things...).
