Creating Bass Lines With The PENTATONIC Scale (Funk/Rock/Soul/Jazz/Pop/Blues)

Perhaps it's because I'm a simple man but the pentatonic scale is my favourite.

As a professional bass player, I've probably earned the most money from playing this humble scale!

In this bass tutorial, I'm going to show you how to create funk, pop, rock, blues, jazz, and pop bass lines from this most versatile of scales. When you use the following, bass line creation becomes easy:

  1. Different techniques (especially articulations).
  2. Tempo and rhythm.
  3. Different bass tones.
