Five years ago, I moved from London to Singapore because of my wife's job.
Now, we have moved once again - to Malaysia, and this video is a tour of my new, all-improved studio. I record, compose, film, and do remote online sessions here.
It's a fantastic, creative space and I hope you get some inspiration to set up a dedicated music space for yourself.
I want your feedback and suggestions, please. I used a vlog-style camera for this video, and it's so quick and easy to set up and film any topic I like. If you have any ideas for bass gear videos, general music, gigging tips, or anything really, let me know in the comments below.

Dan,
Thanks for the tour ! Looks great. Wondering what kind of video editing program you use. I get terrible ” red light” syndrome when I hit the record button and would love to be able to edit out sections .
That’s precisely the magic of editing!
Wow! Impressive to see where the magic happens. I can’t imagine moving it – at all, ever! You need your own roadie.
Thanks for all you do for us, I have learned so much. Cheers.
It’s an ordeal! Thanks, Peter.
Thanks for sharing Dan. You have done a top job in utilising the space in a way that looks very effective. Having been in a job that moves you around a lot I can understand the challenge of shifting setups to a new home. I’m only a new subscriber and I really appreciate the effort you go into to deliver so much value. I like this one for the insight into your work area but also that you show each of the kit you identify has a story behind it. Keep them coming as well as the great lessons. I am looking forward to watching more of your quality videos.
Thanks so much Aaron. Great to have you around!
I would say you have the primo bass coach studio. I’m green with envy. I’ve learned a lot from you and will learn much more in the future, thanks!
Thanks, Michael. It’s taken a long time to build this up.
Hi Dan,
Great new studio! Congrats.
Good luck.
